First things first, gather your friends (or enemies, if you’re feeling particularly competitive) and a deck of playing cards. Queen of Gods is a game for 2-6 players, so make sure you have enough people to get started.
Next, shuffle the deck and deal each player four cards face down. These will be their starting hand. The remaining cards go in a draw pile in the center of the table.
Now, flip over the top card of the draw pile. This card will determine the “trump” suit for that round. The trump suit is the most powerful suit for that round, so keep an eye on it!
Players take turns playing a card from their hand. The goal is to win the trick (i.e. all the cards played in a round) by playing the highest card of the suit led or the highest trump card if a trump card was played. The winner of the trick leads the next round.
Here’s where things get interesting: each card has a unique ability that can be activated when it’s played. For example, the Queen of Hearts allows you to draw an extra card from the draw pile, while the Ace of Spades lets you swap hands with another player.
The game continues until all players have played all of their cards. The player with the most tricks at the end of the round wins!
But wait, there’s more! Each player also has a secret “god” card that they can use once per game to give them an extra boost. These cards range from allowing you to steal another player’s trick to forcing everyone to discard their hands and redraw.
So there you have it, the basics of Queen of Gods. Get ready to rule over your opponents and show them who’s boss!
